If you're looking for a way to stand out in the IT profession, attaining certifications is the best way to verify your knowledge, training, and experience in the field. Microsoft is the leading software company, and offers a variety of certification in all there products, and focused on the many different professions that utilize and support those products. One of their highest levels of certification is the Microsoft Certified Master. This is a great way to stand out in the crowd. EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES Microsoft requires the following experience prerequisites before being accepted into a Microsoft Certified Master program: Five or more years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003: installing, configuring, and troubleshooting. One or more years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007: installing, configuring, and troubleshooting. A thorough understanding of Microsoft Exchange Server design and architecture. A thorough understanding of Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), and other core network services related to Exchange Server Ability to speak, understand, and write fluent English. EXAM AND CERTIFICATION PREREQUISITES The following exams and certification are required before being accepted into a Microsoft Certified Master program: Exam 70-236: TS: Exchange Server 2007, Configuring Exam 70-237: PRO: Designing Messaging Solutions with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Exam 70-238: PRO: Deploying Messaging Solutions with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Windows Server 2003 (or Exam 70-640: TS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring) APPLY AND REGISTER Once you have completed all prerequisites you will be asked to complete a short application to be accepted into the program, upload your resume, and pay if full for the program. ATTEND AND SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE TRAINING PROGRAM The program consists of a 3 week training program with 3 computer based exams. All training courses are offered in Redmond, Washington. Candidates can retake exams up to two times at a remote testing center after training is completed. Exam retakes require an additional fee. SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE FINAL QUALIFICATION LAB EXAM The final qualification lab test is offered on the Saturday after the three weeks of training. Candidates who do not pass the lab exam the first time can schedule up to two subsequent attempts to be taken remotely. Exam retakes require an additional fee.
